The Scientific Core provides high quality scientific research support and resources tailored for DPRC Scholars. With Marcos Rangel and Jerome Reiter as co-Directors, this Core fully leverages existing research infrastructure at Duke and provides additional services to support DPRC research.
The Scientific Core ensures scholar access to a computing infrastructure and provides research support, including high-end programming, specialized consulting and statistical and technical training in data collection and analyses. This core also provides support in the curation and analysis of population-scale administrative data though the development of tools, techniques and methods for replicable administrative records and big data analysis in support of the Durham Population Lab initiative.
