DPRC offers software, training, and resources in order to provide support for research and give our scholars access to cutting-edge tools that promote the use of big data in population research. These services include training and resources on how to access and utilize virtual computing and training on the open source statistical programming language R. We also provide access to genetic and network software and analysis tools, data access through Duke’s Social Science Research Institute (SSRI), Triangle Data Center (TRDC) and secure data management through Duke's Office of Research Initiatives. Director for Computational Resources, Mark Yacoub, leads the customization of tools and resources available at Duke for population research applications.
